Getting around: The hotel is located within Zona Holtelera, or Hotel Zone. Public and private buses connect the Hotel Zone to downtown and ferries: less than US$5. Once downtown, most tourist attractions are easily accessible by walking. Taxi rates in Cancún are determined by zones and the minimum fare within the Cancún Hotel Zone is $5 USD per ride. Pina Colada - Open for breakfast and lunch, this barefoot-casual, open-air restaurant is located right on the beach under a palapa and specializes in seafood and grilled food.

Kuku's Bar - Constructed in rustic, Indiana Jones–style, Kuku's features a big spa along the back side. On the other side, guests sit in swing seats with their feet in the beach's powdery white sand. Kuku's also includes a palapa-shaded, open-air recreation room with televisions tuned to sports, plus ping-pong, foosball, and pool tables.

Lobby bar - This handsome destination features a marble bar, a wood ceiling, lounge and stool seating, a big-screen television, and live music or karaoke in the evenings.

Pool bar - Equipped with a grill and adjacent to the pool, this spot accommodates sunbathers with light meals and tropical drinks.

In addition to restaurant dining, the hotel provides theme buffet dinners every night around the main pool. Room service runs 7 AM to 11 PM.

Amenity highlights: A 6-foot-wide, 30-foot-long spa borders a beach bar called Kuku's. The spa has stools along the bar and benches in the back for seating a few dozen merrymakers.
