Presidente Intercontinental Cancun Hotel - Mexico

Canc? "best beach" with shallow, calm water On a dazzling white-sand beach on Mujeres Bay, this stylish hotel is a mile from Canc? shopping, dining, and nightlife center. Among the numerous guestroom choices is the plush, double-balcony Presidential Suite. Other suites have spas on terrace-like balconies. From the gorgeous beach, guests wade out on a sand bottom into turquoise water safe for children and calm enough for paddlers, floaters, kayakers, and beginning windsurfers.

Proceed north on Blvd Kukulcan, hotel is located near Km marker 7.5 on right hand side of road. Authorized taxis, minivans (or collectivos), and private cars are the best way to make the journey from the airport to your hotel. Transportation options can be accessed as you exit the terminal to your right. A private taxi to downtown Cancún: $16–$25 USD. A private taxi to the Hotel Zone: more than $36 USD. Collectivos provide transportation to downtown Cancún: $5–$15 USD. A private car service to your hotel can be arranged: more than $36 USD. Rental cars are available at the airport and on this Web site: more than $36 USD. Note: Only authorized taxis are allowed to transport guests from the airport to their hotels. However, all taxis can take passengers to the airport from the city or Hotel Zone–cutting the fare almost in half. Getting around: The hotel is located within Zona Holtelera, or Hotel Zone. Taxi rates in Cancún are determined by zones and the minimum fare within the Cancún Hotel Zone is $5 USD per ride. A list outlining the various taxi rates throughout the city should be available at the hotel front desk: $5–$15 USD. Taxis can be rented by the hour or day if you want to visit the historic ruins outside of the city: more than $36 USD. Always negotiate your taxi fare before beginning your trip. Rental cars offer a convenient way to visit historic points outside the city: more than $36 USD. Mopeds are a convenient, yet extremely risky, way to get around the city and islands: $26–$35 USD.

AMENITIES & SERVICES

What to expect: Opened in 1976 as one of Cancún's first hotels and completely renovated in 2001–2002, this beautiful destination helped popularize Mexi-Caribe hotel design. With a lemon-chiffon exterior, a white interior, and accents of blue, pink, yellow, and purple, the hotel creates a cheerful, relaxed ambience while providing world-travelers all the luxury and warm hospitality they demand. Amenity highlights: Built by the Mexican government when it undertook to develop Cancún as a destination resort, the hotel is on what is arguably Cancún's best beach which is broad (150 yards), deep (75 yards), flat, blindingly white, and won't burn bare feet. Located on Mujeres Bay instead of the open Caribbean, the water is calm and perfect for family swimming. The resort includes two square pools, one large and adults-only, the other even larger and bordered on one side by a pyramid with cascading water. Insider tip: The resort offers complimentary scuba diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing lessons.

Note: Extra fees may apply for some services/features.
